Surgery<\/b><\/h4>\n

The aim of Surgery course is to introduce students to basic principles and fundamental concepts of surgical science and practice.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Study of general surgical principles and examinations.<\/li>\n
  2. Etiology, clinical manifestation, differential diagnosis and diagnostic procedure in general surgery.<\/li>\n
  3. Principals of operative techniques.<\/li>\n
  4. Basic courses in abdominal, cardiovascular, thoracic, orthopedic, neurosurgery, pediatric surgery and urology.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The goal of the course is to train future medical doctors to recognize symptoms of surgical disease and to use adequate diagnostic procedures in order to initiate therapeutic procedure. Special emphasis is placed on identifying urgent surgical conditions. During the course students should accept practical procedure that can be used in every day medical practice.<\/p>\n

    Curriculum<\/b><\/h4>\n

    Attending surgery lectures and practical is obligatory and it comprises 402 school lessons. From this number, 20 lessons are organized in the Simulation centre in groups of about 20 students according to the separate schedule. Practical are organised in groups of no more than 10 students.<\/p>\n
