In numerous praises of this law that came from abroad, it was emphasized that the Kingdom of Serbia stepped up in the organization of health care.\"<em>in front of all other civilized countries.<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"mfub-yt-wrap\" style=\"--mfub-yt-ratio:56.25%\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/ZG6bWLr7YBo?rel=0&#038;playsinline=1\" title=\"YouTube video\" loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\" style=\"text-align:justify;\"><p>The new law <strong>Hospital Varo\u0161 and District of Belgrade<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0is<strong> 1881.<\/strong> renamed <strong>General state hospital (ODB), <\/strong>and yes, it is. <strong>1889.<\/strong> it is the reorganization of its departments by <span class=\"iNqyIf\" data-sfc-cp=\"\" data-sfc-root=\"ep\" data-epip=\"\" data-complete=\"true\">The Department of external diseases <strong>first <\/strong><\/span><strong>Surgical department in the Kingdom of Serbia<\/strong>. Upon the recommendation and personal invitation of Dr. Vladan \u0110or\u0111evi\u0107, and by the decision of the Ministry of health of <strong>23. April 1889., <\/strong>former head of the surgical department and manager of the City Hospital in Zemun <strong>primarius Dr Vojislav J. Dr Vojislav J. Subboti\u0107, 1890. g.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>At the surgical department of ODB, he served as assistant to primarius Subbotic in 1890. years of employment <strong>Dr Mihailo Petrovi\u0107 (1863-1934)<\/strong>, which in 1896. al-Baqir <strong>the first doctor who completed his specialization in surgery in Serbia.<\/strong> During 1903. years in the Prime Minister's office. The subwoofers are starting to work <strong>Dr Nikola Krsti\u0107 (1878 \u2013 1947)<\/strong> i <strong>Dr Leon Cohen (1876-1949<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>When the ODB began to form its own departments in the Western Vra\u010dar at the beginning of the twentieth century, the surgical department <strong>1907. years<\/strong> moved to five newly built ground floor <strong>surgical pavilions<\/strong> with an operating block. The pavilions were connected by corridors between each other, and each had separate entrances from the front, back and both sides. On the south side between the pavilions was a complex of two operating rooms with accompanying rooms, which was connected to the pavilions by a covered corridor.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\" style=\"text-align:justify;\"><p>During <strong>Wars of liberation and Unification<\/strong> doctors of the surgical department of ODB, <b>primarius Subboti\u0107<\/b> and his closest friends. <b>Dr Petrovi\u0107<\/b>, <b>Dr Krsti\u0107<\/b> i <b>Dr. Cohen<\/b> they played a key role in the development of Serbian surgery. <span style=\"background-color: var(--awb-color1);\">These four surgeons were not only physicians but also top military health strategists. Subboti\u0107, 1913. g.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: var(--awb-color1);\">Conditions on the battlefields of Serbia and Albania, and especially on the Salonika front, in the field hospitals of the supreme command such as Dragomanci and Ostrov, required revolutionary surgical decisions. Then medical lieutenant colonel in the Reserve, primarius Subboti\u0107 after the end of the Balkan wars in the period of 6. to 12. August 1913 he participated in 17. International medical congress in London. At one of the two sessions of the surgical section of the Congress, entitled \"surgery of the arterial system,\" Dr. Subboti\u0107 <strong>9. August 1913 <\/strong>a lecture <strong>Military experience traumatic aneurysms<\/strong>. He depicted 60 arterial and 17 venous injuries of which 19 arteries and 13 veins were repaired by partial or circular suture. At that time he said: \"<em>Suture is certainly the most difficult and demanding procedure and is undoubtedly not the right choice of treatment in all cases. Nevertheless, it appears to be very effective and is indicated not only in cases where it is absolutely necessary, but also in others where it can be simply and aseptically carried out.\u2026<\/em>\u201c<br \/>\n<mark class=\"has-inline-color has-background-color\">This session was chaired by the famous American surgeon <strong>Dr Rudolph Matas<\/strong>the first repair of an arterial aneurysm is now considered to be \"<em>the father of vascular surgery<\/em>\u201c. After reviewing the results of Dr. Subbotic, he stated:\"<em>Dr. Subboti\u0107 made a timely and most valuable contribution to the war injuries of blood vessels... the success of his team's surgeons at the Serbian Military Hospital in Belgrade far exceeds those achieved by military surgeons in previous wars\u2026<\/em>\u201c.<br \/>\nThe following month, primarius Subboti\u0107 published his results to the most prestigious medical journal <strong>Lancet <\/strong>under the name <strong>\u201e<em>Military experience of traumatic aneurysms<\/em>\u201c <\/strong>(Lancet, volume 182, Issue 4697, p.720\/721, September 6th, 1913). July 1919 two new departments are being established: surgical-Urological and Surgical-Orthopedic. For the chief <b>The surgical-urology department <\/b>Dr. Cohen was appointed chief <b>Surgical-Orthopedic <\/b>Dr. Krstic. Upon commencing re-operation at the ODB surgical department during 1919. years of employment as a secondary physician, specialist in surgery <strong>Dr Radoslav Bra\u0161ovan (1888-1964)<\/strong> and only a qualified doctor, <strong>Bogdan Kosanovic<\/strong> <strong>(1892-1964).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order to establish the Medical Faculty of the University of Belgrade by decree <strong>HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar Kara\u0111or\u0111evi\u0107 (1888-1934)<\/strong> <strong>9. September 1919 g. <\/strong>it is named\".<em><strong>Vojislav Subboti\u0107, PhD, doctor and operator from Belgrade-for surgery<\/strong><\/em>\u201c. This is how prof. Dr Subboti\u0107 with prof. Dr Milan Jovanovi\u0107-Batuta became the first professor of the Faculty of Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>The College of Medicine is <strong>6. February 1920 <\/strong>the Dean was appointed by prof. Batuta, and for <strong>the first vice-dean<\/strong> prof. Subbotics. The school of Medicine is officially open <strong>9. December 1920. years <\/strong>in the Hall of the University, in the rectorate building in the Kapetan-Mi\u0161ina building.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-6\" style=\"text-align:justify;\"><p>In the School of Medicine, immediately after the beginning of functioning, in the premises <strong>the pavilion of the surgical department of ODB<\/strong> by decree in 1920. founded in 1921. the year begins with the work <strong>Surgical Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine<\/strong>. The surgical clinic thereby became the first clinic of the medical faculty to begin its work. Subbotic for associate professor for the subject surgical propedevtica 21. February was chosen. <strong>medical Colonel Dr Mihailo Petrovi\u0107<\/strong>, and 28. in March of the same year as a professor of general surgery <strong>primarius Milivoje Kosti\u0107 (1883-1974<\/strong>. Professor Subboti\u0107 was elected to <strong>Dean <\/strong>The Faculty of Medicine University of Belgrade <strong>1921-22 year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-7\" style=\"text-align:justify;\"><p>The statute of the faculty planned to teach and practice 22 compulsory subjects at the Medical Faculty, three of which were surgical \u2013 surgical propedeevtics, general surgery and Surgical Clinic., as well as 12 non-compulsory ones, among them Urology, Orthopedics and War surgery.<\/p>\n<p>In the following period, three mfub chairs of surgery were formed: the chair of general and Special Surgery, the chair of surgical propedeevtics, and the chair of War surgery. The first was in 1923. the years began to work <strong>Department of general and special Surgery<\/strong>and the chief is appointed by prof. Subbotic. The cathedrals were divided into <strong>general and experimental surgery<\/strong>which was led by prof. Kosti\u0107 i <strong>special surgical pathology and therapy<\/strong>, organized by prof. Mihailo Petrovi\u0107<\/strong>she was appointed as her assistant <strong>Dr Salomon Davidovi\u0107 (1891-1974)<\/strong>. Classes in surgery at MFUB began with surgical propedevtics in the V Semester of the 1923\/24 school year. the first lecture, entitled <em><strong>\"On the development of surgery in Serbia\"<\/strong><\/em> is <strong>25. October 1923. <\/strong>held by prof. Petrovi\u0107. As head of the Department of general and special surgery prof. Subboti\u0107 prepared his first lecture for the beginning of December.<\/p>\n<p>Next, in 1922. the Mfub course is for associate professor of War surgery 9. Subboti\u0107 1923. g.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Unfortunately, prof. Subboti\u0107 became seriously ill and died <strong>4. December 1923 g.<\/strong> For his contributions to medical science and surgical practice prof. during his lifetime, Dr. Subboti\u0107 received the highest awards and decorations. Among others, he was a member of the French, German and international surgical societies, the pest Medical Society and the Paris Academy of Medicine. However, his greatest reward was, as he himself often said,\".<em>the love and respect of his disciples<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>The irony of fate is that the Subboti\u0107 does not give his accession lecture to medical students, but it is <strong>10. December 1923 years <\/strong>he was appointed chief of the surgical clinic <strong>prof. Subbotize completed and started work <strong>Surgical clinic Amphitheater building<\/strong> south of the surgical pavilions. The newly built building had a library, a modern equipped X-ray cabinet, laboratories as well as two operating rooms. This law confirmed the provision on the autonomy of the University, which reserved the right of autonomy in the election of University organs and rectors. Of which 472 were men.<br \/>\n<mark class=\"has-inline-color has-background-color\">Out of the total number in the period of five years, only two students (female students) received tens (school year 1931\/1932), six students (all men) nines, 23 eights, 72 sevens and 243 sixes, while the exam was not passed by 212 students. Upon his departure, prof. Kosti\u0107 remains the manager, now a spatially unified Surgical Clinic. Since then, the clinic has been called <strong>University surgical clinic prof. Dr. Kosti\u0107-Belgrade.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the Surgical Clinic of prof. It's a cost <strong>31. October 1938. years<\/strong> forma <strong>Department of Neurosurgery<\/strong>and his 19-year-old younger brother, <strong>Assistant Professor Dr Slobodan Kosti\u0107 (1902-1986)<\/strong>. This department was the first of its kind in the Kingdom at the time and opened just three years after the first neurosurgical Department in the world.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-20\" style=\"text-align:justify;\"><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the school's <strong>1938\/39,<\/strong> in addition to Professor Kosti\u0107, University assistant professor Bra\u0161ovan, private assistant professor Gradojevi\u0107 and assistants Kazmin, \u0110or\u0111evi\u0107 Chamba, Gen\u010di\u0107 and Bukurov worked at the Mfub. At the same time at the newly formed clinic for propedeutic surgery, the acting director was prof.  Dr. Miljani\u0107, and assistant Dr. Davidovi\u0107, while working at the urology clinic, was an associate professor. In the winter semester of 1940\/1941 school year, a total of 2,025 students were enrolled at the medical faculty, and a total of 147 teachers and associates worked at 15 clinics and 12 institutes. , Until April 1941. in 20 years since its establishment, the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade has completed 1,635 students. November 1946. in the building of the surgical-urology Pavilion, next to the surgical clinic, there was a merger of the urology department and the III Department of the main military hospital, which is managed by Prof. Dr. Cohen, as well as the creation of the Department of War surgery, for which Colonel JNA was appointed <strong>assistant professor Vojislav Stojanovi\u0107<\/strong> <strong>(1906-1991)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-22\" style=\"text-align:justify;\"><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By decree of the Council of the Faculty of Medicine <strong>17. The third surgical propedeutic clinic, led by prof. Miljani\u0107 ceases to exist, while IV surgical clinic for war surgery, becomes <strong>Second surgical clinic<\/strong> she continues to lead <strong>prof. Vojislav Stojanovi\u0107<\/strong>. As part of the new reorganization of clinics, from the neurosurgical Department of the surgical clinic is <strong>26. June 1951. years<\/strong> formed <strong>Neurosurgical clinic<\/strong>and it is set up for the manager <strong>associate professor Slobodan Kosti\u0107<\/strong>. He was an honorary member of the German Society of surgery, the Polish Surgical Society, the Belgian Association of surgeons, as well as a corresponding member of the Paris surgical Academy, the Berlin Medical Society, The Royal Association of surgeons and the Italian Surgical Association.
